August Club News
Club Coach
Please welcome Dene Milner as appointed club coach. Dene comes to us with a great track record and we encourage you to support him and involve yourself in club training programs taking advantage of his many years of experience. Training has commenced on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
The Deck
We have made great progress on the deck thanks to a great effort from members who have volunteered their valuable time. Let’s all see this through to fruition. What an asset for our future this will be enhancing member social activities and providing further incentive to external parties hiring our venue for their functions.
The Club House
Over the last couple of months we have been communicating with the council to get some much needed upgrades to our historic clubhouse. As a result the council have :-
- Made some repairs on the floor in the main room, kitchen and hall way by way of replacing stumps and some flooring.
- Provided a temporary repair to the mens toilet seating
- We believe they are planning a full re stumping for the building, but are awaiting further advice to confirm timing
- We have submitted plans for building extensions and are awaiting a decision from council re inclusion in their capital works program.
The next follow up to council will occur in September.
Club Uniforms
We are looking for a volunteer to take on the management of our clothing. The job would entail
- Keeping a record of stock numbers
- Being the contact for sales and collecting sales revenue
- Ordering stock (This should only be shirts from now on as all other uniform components can be generic and purchased from bowls shops).
Membership Subscriptions
Subscriptions for the 2019-2020 season are now due. Please support your club and pay these ASAP. Full Membership $190, Social $20.
