News Update: 28th October.

Dear Bowlers;

Start of season

With the easing of restrictions, BowlsVic have set a date Saturday 28th November as a commencement date for  Pennant Bowls. Tuesday Pennant date is set for 1st December.

The Club has until Monday 2nd November to declare what and how many teams we will enter in Pennant competition this season. So Darren McMenaman and myself will be contacting members to check out their availability for the season.

Annual General Meeting:

It was agreed at our last Board meeting even with this present uncertainty to set a date Saturday 28th November for the Clubs Annual General meeting for season 2019/20. I will send further information by 2nd November to all members. As there is only 6 months before we have our next AGM 2020/21, the present Board are willing to stay on in a caretaker mode.

Practice

Dene Milner our Coach has set Saturdays 14th and 21st November as official practice times.

Dene intends to have a minor In-house competitions with prize money attached to add interest to training during the season.

Selection

As the season will commence with us not having our Annual General Meeting, it was agreed at our last Board Meeting to continue with present selectors until the  AGM on Nov. 28th. is held.

Opening to Bowls Day.

Al James is organising an Opening Day for Bowlers on Tuesday 3rd November( Melbourne Cup Holiday). The format will be a rotating triples game commencing at 11am and concluding at 2pm.

Marg and Bill’s special hamburgers are on the lunch menu.
