News Update July 2022
Dear Members
I write to give you an update on happenings at the Club.
Call for Selectors for Season 22/23
This coming season we will have 5 Selectors for Saturday and Tuesday Pennant competitions. If you wish to put your name forward as a Selector please let me know Peter Leonard ph: 0438579952 or email peterleonard2@bigpond.com.au. I will pass your show of interest on to the Board for consideration.
Closing date for applications is Thursday 14th July.
Membership fees
The Board has decided that there will be no increase in the Club Membership fee for season 22/23.
Full membership is $190. Social Membership is $20
Bill Grund will be sending Invoices out this month to members. Prompt payment would be appreciated.
Last of the Club Championships
Last Sunday afternoon in front of a packed crowd of 7 adults and one dog ,Gordy Bakers team of mature bowlers defeated Bill Grund’s Young Guns team in the Club triples.
Congratulations go to Gordy Baker, Neil Skate and Peter Leonard. To Bill Grund , Marg Grund and Alan Sayle well done on what was a very close game.
Teams for 2022/23 Season
Teams for the upcoming BowlsVic Pennant season need to be submitted by the end of July.
The Board at our July meeting moved that the Club submit application for 3 Pennant teams for Saturdays and 2 teams for Tuesday Mid Week competition. The Saturday Bowls is scheduled to commence October 15th. Midweek will commence Tuesday 11th October.
Uniform supply
Our current uniform stocks are low and an Order is needed now to prepare for the coming season.
If you require Shirts, Caps, Hats or Hoodies please contact Darren McMenaman Ph: 0419180548 so he can submit an Order before the end of July.
